Wrapped in His Love

Their smiles were different today—wide and free. Filipinos often find something to laugh about, even in hardship, but this joy felt deeper. There was relief. Gratitude. Hope. As they held their new blankets—some wrapping themselves up immediately, others carefully tucking them away—there was something beautiful in the air.

Today, we were able to distribute blankets generously provided by a church in New Zealand. Around us, the scene was alive: people crowding around for a simple cup of coffee or hot water from our thermos, others chatting and laughing, some opening their boxes of food, and others receiving prayer from one of our team.

Lunch was a dish of chicken, vegetables, and of course, rice—the staple of every Filipino meal. Each week, we receive funds that allow us to eat together. We’ve become a family here on the street. Some sleep in the park or outside under shelter, others have simple homes—but every Wednesday, we come together in the park, and love looks like something.

My heart was full as I watched. The joy we felt wasn’t just from the food or the blankets—it was the joy of Jesus. His presence wrapped around us like a warm blanket, reminding us once again of the love of God poured out for each one.

The body of Christ truly is a beautiful thing.
